This is the first summer in a long time that I didn’t take any time off. Kinda needed the money for school. But, I still managed to have a pretty full and awesome summer. I ran my first 10k, wake surfed for the first time, hiked poo poo point, went to a couple Sounders games, a Seahawks game, yoga’d it up, rode the great wheel, visited MANY dog parks, road tripped to Portland, went to John Mayer at the Gorge, checked out MOHAI with my grandparents from out of town, played LOTS of soccer games (even scored a couple goals!), watched the Huskies dominate in their new stadium, spent lots of quality time with my awesome siblings (and friends) and saw numerous amazing sunsets. All in all, it was a pretty fantastic summer. Here are some shots to prove it!

Ruby and Beau are my little monsters. Well, they’re miniature dachshunds, but I’ve referred to them as the monsters for so long that they now think that’s their name. My love for all things dachshund started when my parents got a puppy doxie (Sebastian). It was all downhill from there. Ruby and Beau hate the rain but love snow, enjoy long walks on the beach at discovery park and like hiking up extremely steep terrain. During the summer we rotate dog parks weekly, but in the winter it’s mostly cuddle time. Hopefully they’ll get part time jobs while mom is in school to help out with the rent.
